Q:  I am wondering how closely the "nursery direct" trees look in comparison to the photo?

A:  That's a common question. The answer is they're awfully close. Most of the trees originate in China and Japan where they're shaped identically, one after another. So the size and general shape are very close. Of course they're trees, so they ultimately end up slightly different, but they are virtually identical. You shouldn't be concerned that you'll get a whole different shape and size tree. We guarantee you'll be thrilled or your money back. The "nursery directs" are a pretty popular option because you do safe a little money.

 

Q:  I only received part of my order. Where’s the rest of my stuff?

A:  Some of our products are shipped directly from the manufacturer, or our nursery, and come in separate shipments. It’s not uncommon to receive your complete order a day or two apart.

 

Q:  My order still shows that it’s “processing,” but it’s been a few days since it was placed.

A:  Our shipping software updates orders from “processing” to “complete” when all of the items are shipped and the automated tracking information updates at the end of the day. Rest assured that we haven’t forgotten about or misplaced your order.

Q:  How often is the stock updated on Joebonsai? 

A:  Since we individually photograph most of our Bonsai trees, selection changes almost daily. We are constantly adding new tools and supplies. Any product on our site is available for purchase - if a product is not stock, it isn't displayedCheck back often.

 

Q:  What shipping methods are available? 

A:  We offer UPS ground and expedited services, and U.S. postal service's Priority Mail.  Costs and delivery times are displayed before checking out - you choose what's right for you. Shipping costs are based on the combined weight of your order and your zip code.

 

Q:  Is international shipping available? 

A:  Customs inspections can delay a package for several days and even weeks. Unfortunately, that's too long for a tree to survive without light and water.

 

Q:  What forms of payment are accepted? 

A:  We accept Visa, Mastercard, American express, Discover, Money Orders, Paypal, Google Checkout and Amazon Checkout.

 

Q:  How do I know when my order has been received? 

A:  Once your order has been received, you will receive an e-mail from us.  This e-mail confirms that we have received your order and include your order number. Keep this e-mail for your records.

 

Q:  How do I know when my order has been shipped? 

A:  Once your order has been shipped, you will receive another e-mail from us.  This e-mail confirms that your order has shipped and then is followed by an email from the shipper with your delivery confirmation or tracking number.

 

Q:  How can I track my order? 

A:  When a shipping label is created for your package, you will receive an amail with your "delivery confirmation" or tracking number.  That number can be entered into the respective shippers tracking website.

 

Q:  Can I ship to my office or another residential address even if it is different than my billing address? 

A:  Absolutely. You enter your billing address and shipping address when you register, and can change it to fit your needs.

 

Q:  Are the product images on your site photographs of the actual merchandise? 

A:  Yes, all of the product images on Joebonsai are images of our actual merchandise, including most of the Bonsai trees.

 

Q:  Do I have to pay sales tax on my online purchase? 

A:  Since Joebonsai is based in Texas, state law requires that we charge sales tax on orders shipped to customers residing in Texas.  To customers residing in states other than Texas, there is no tax.

 

Q:  Can I get a catalog of your product assortment sent to me? 

A:  We don't print a catalog anymore because our tree inventory is so fluid. We keep our website absolutely accurate and up to date of what is in stock, so the website now serves as our catalog.
